AHAS is now FREEWARE AND IT IS BACK ON LINE FOR DOWNLOAD AGAIN!!!

There was an internal agreement in ITC to release AHAS (interface over ILWIS) as freeware. READ THE CONDITIONS BELOW.

AHAS for ILWIS

  • The software delivered as it is. We do not have the structure to support software updates regularly since this is not the mission of ITC.
  • All software downloadable from this page is freeware. It is fully functional.
  • You must accept that you will not have support of any kind from us. However the AHAS software is from March 1 2002 freeware and you can downloaded it from http://www.itc.nl/research/products/ahas.asp. However the software is a user interface on ILWIS (http://www.itc.nl/Ilwis/default.asp) and this is a shareware software as from January 1, 2004!!. AHAS software has its own documentation, and a course of three weeks is giving in ITC to handle its complexity. Due to this difficulty in developing the skills needed to hand the software  ITC cannot be responsible of the misapplication of AHAS results.  More information about the course can be obtained from (http://www.itc.nl). AHAS: AVHRR Hydrological Analysis System

Instructions for downloading and installing (read very carefully and print if necessary)

  1. ILWIS (version 3.11/Version 3.2) software must be operational in your PC.
  2. Download the AHAS software for  ILWIS 3.11 ahas13.zip and unzip it in a temporary directory in your PC.
  3. Run the setup.exe located in the temporary directory.
  4. Follow the procedure for installation.
  5. Start - Programs - AHAS - 1.3.
  6. If ILWIS is not installed in the D:\ILWIS drive, a legend appears inviting you to look for the ILWIS exe file. Browse your PC to enter the exact location. AHAS will learn this new location for future openings.
